Rest in peace, Neal Casal

There was danger in your blood
Even then
And now you're dying at my door
Once again
You were lost in your convictions
I prayed on your stolen time
But you are free to go
You are free to go

Sad beyond words to hear about Neal Casal’s passing today. Best known as the guitar player for Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, he released several truly great solo albums, and had a long career as a studio musician behind him. Played on records by The Chris Robertson Brotherhood, Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson, Fruit Bats, The Jayhawks, Shooter Jennings, Fountains of Wayne, Tift Merritt, and Blackfoot, among others. A truly masterful guitar player. You will be sorely missed, Neal!
